The queen wanted to meet Andare’s new wife. Andare decided to have some fun…
|
Andare was newly married. He was in a mischievous mood as usual. One morning he walked to the palace to meet the queen.Welcoming him, the queen said, “Andare! I heard that you have a new wife now! Won’t you bring her here to meet me?”
“Sure, your majesty! I will! How about tomorrow?” The queen agreed.
“But, your majesty, she is a little deaf. So you will have to speak loudly or she won’t be able to hear you,” said Andare
“Don’t worry about that! I’ll take care of it,” replied the queen.
So that was settled. Andare went home and looked for his young wife.
“The queen wants to meet you tomorrow!” he explained. “Will you come with me to the palace tomorrow?”
“Alright, I will,” agreed the young wife.
“But there is something you need to know,” said Andare. “The Queen is a very nice person, but she is a little deaf. So you will have to speak loudly!”
“No problem. It’s a good thing you told me this. I’ll speak up!”
Royal meeting
The next day Andare and his wife reached the palace. The king and queen received them.
“WELCOME TO THE PALACE! SO, YOU ARE ANDARE’S WIFE! HOW ARE YOU,” shouted the queen.
“THANK YOU MA’AM!! I AM FINE!” shouted back Andare’s wife.
The two wives began to talk REALLY LOUDLY…each seemed to be shouting at the other. The king was completely taken aback. He wondered what was going on. Why was his wife shouting? Why was Andare’s wife shouting? All the courtiers were puzzled. What was going on? After a few minutes the two wives developed headaches and their throats got sore. A mischievous smile played on Andare’s lips. That was when they all understood. It was all Andare’s mischief!
