OCPM H.S. School for Girls, Madurai

OCPM H.S. School for Girls, Madurai, celebrated its 70th annual day recently. Toppers of Stds. X and XII board examinations, Hameem Subaidha, Salai Lakshana and Bharadwaj, were honoured with gold medals. The vice president of Madurai Di strict Congress Party also honoured them with a cash award of Rs.1,000. B. Bala Diviya of Std. XII won the best outgoing student award and 150 students who performed well in academics and sports were also honoured.

Teachers who would be retiring this year were honoured with pattu saris. Ward councillor Pon Sethuramalingam felicitated the teachers, who produced cent percent result. The school also received an endowment fund of Rs. 10,000 from Kalasalingam University to honour the rank holders.

On the same day, the school’s website was launched. The Fatima College principal, Sr. A. Fatima, was the chief guest.
