Home again, Danny Boy!

This bird sure had a long trip. Danny Boy, the macaw, lived with his owners Greg and Susan Vasilakos in Carpinteria, California. In early December 2006, he disappeared and the Vasilakos listed him on an online lost-and-found website but, having no news, moved to Colorado. On March 12, Danny Boy was found flying around in Pasadena and was taken to the Pasadena Humane Society. The society featured him on their website and Mrs. Vasilakos called the shelter asking to speak to her pet. Danny Boy, who had been sulking till then, promptly cheered up on hearing his owner’s voice. Currently arrangements are being worked out to reunite Danny Boy with his owners.
