Christ Nagar Senior Secondary School, Thiruvallom

Students’ day was celebrated at Christ Nagar Senior Secondary School, Thiruvallom, with teachers making way for the students to run the show, handling classes and administration for a day. Needless to say the task was handled with aplomb by the students. The day began with an assembly addressed by Soorya Ann Koshy, student principal, who proposed the theme for this year’s students’ day as “enlightening souls.” Fr. Mathew The ngumpally, principal, handed over the ‘Golden Key’ to the student principal symbolising the transfer of power for a day to the students. The classes were on in full swing as the student teachers made their best use of the day. Some of the student teachers displayed a rare talent in handling classes with more than the usual creativity and innovative methods of teaching. The mood was upbeat and the students relished every minute of their experience. A panel of teachers monitored the performance of the students and at the end of the day the best student teachers were selected. Prizes were given away to the best student teacher in each section.
