Found in China

Fossils from China’s Shandong province have thrown up the first evidence that the dinosaur group ceratopsids lived outside North America. A report in the New Scientist said that a two-metre long skull (similar to the horned triceratops) had been discovered at the site, which is known to be the world’s largest dinosaur fossil site. Discovered just last year, the site has already given up 7600 fossils. So far, true ceratopsids have been found o nly in western U.S., western Canada and Alaska. Strangely, in the America ceratopsid bones were found in moist environments while in Asia they were found in drier regions.
