Madras Christian College Higher Secondary School, Chetpet

State topper in Hindi SSLC stream

Abrar Ali Khan : (State first rank in Hindi) Was confident that he would do well after he finished writing his paper. “My presentation was good,” he says, “I made sure my handwriting was neat. When I got the question paper I was confident that I would be able to answer the questions well but the Match the Following had me stumped for a while.” His mother helped him prepare. He wants to be an architect later and teach Hindi too. Right now he is busy preparing for the YES (Youth Exchange and study programme) he was selected for recently.

Manohar G.J., Headmaster: We are very happy that our school has got State first in both Hindi and French. While the French topper Puspangshu Chowdhury has scored centum, the second rank too is ours with Sreevastha Ankush M. notching up 98 per cent. The French teacher Mr Dominic has in fact been consistently producing toppers in the State these past few years. Puspangshu is at present in Japan on a year-long exchange programme.
