Ice Age 3 - Dawn of the Dinosaur

An exclusive for Young World

“So you’re being chased by a gigantic dinosaur” by Sid the Sloth

Hey there! Sid the Sloth here. Now if you are anything like me, sometimes you’re out for a stroll and, suddenly, you find yourself being chased by a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Here are a few simple rules to follow to survive a rampaging dinosaur attack, Sid-style!

Scream your lungs out — What use is being scared out of your mind if you can’t share it? Simply open your mouth, breathe deep, and let loose a long, high-pitched shriek! And when you’ve mastered that, try “HELP! HELP!” and “SAVE ME!” Keep it interesting!

Continue screaming your lungs out — Practice makes perfect! And why scream once when you can scream over and over and over again? Remember: that dinosaur is more afraid of you than you are of him. (Just kidding! You’re way more afraid.)

Watch your life flash before your eyes — This won’t help you survive, but it’s really interesting! You’ll be surprised by all of the great experiences you’ve forgotten! Plus, it’s a really good way to find misplaced items-like that old Frisbee, or your favorite sweater.

Play dead — This is a great trick, especially after all of that running! Just collapse to the ground and lie there, totally, motionless. With any luck, the dinosaur will think you are dead! He will stop chasing you and go get a doctor. And THAT is when you make your escape.

Climb a tree — I know what you’re thinking: “How am I going to climb a tree while I am playing dead? Won’t that be a giveaway?” The solution is easy: climb slowly, like some kind of zombie. Because who wants to eat a zombie?

Reverse psychology — Turn to the dinosaur and say, “Okay, if you want me so badly, go ahead and eat me!” On second thought, that’s a terrible idea. Nevermind.

That’s all there is to it! Just relax, and enjoy the ride-or as I like to say, “AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
