Roses are blue : Applause most true.

The world’s first roses with nearly 100 per cent blue pigment in the petals were unveiled in Tokyo, Japan. The blue roses named “Suntory blue rose applause” were shown at a press conference. It has taken 20 years to grow the blue roses. The flowers will be on sale in major cities of Japan from November 3 and would each cost 2,000 yen to 3,000 yen (US$22 to 33).
