Student icon winners

Mexus Education, an educational innovation enterprise, announced the winners of the nationwide Iken Scientifica 2011- Season IV at the grand finale held at IIT Powai recently.

The event saw 275 finalists from 26 cities competing for the prestigious title of Student Icon of India 2011.

Eight students were declared winners. In the junior category, Taha Juzar, Kuwait; Samyak Parmar, Bright Day School, Baroda; Joel Jaison, J.H. Ambani Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Surat and Gauri Manoj Lad, Fatima High School, Mumbai were declared winners. In the senior category, Devika, MGD School, Jaipur; Rishi Raj, Laxmi International, Vapi; W. Keerthana, Hyderabad, and Jaspreet Sandhu, Saupins School, Chandigarh.

The finale was designed to enhance the ability of participants to effectively use technology and in creating human networks that can be utilised to impart quality education of the future

The various rounds where the finalists participated were: Game On, AquaSoccer, RoboSoccerDesign for givingInformation design Junkreate.

As a grand prize for the Student Icon winners this year they will go on an education exploration tour to NASA. Prizes worth Rs. 50 lakh were given to the participants of Iken Scientifica.
