THE HINDU Young World Quiz, one of the largest Quiz events for schools in the country is here again! And it is even bigger and better this year! Students who are presently studying in classes X to XII are eligible to enter in the event. Last year, over 4400 teams of two members each took part in THE HINDU Young World quiz in the cities of Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Madurai, Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kozhikode, Vijayawada, Mangalore and Tiruchirapalli. This year Pondichery has been added to the Quiz map and the finals are slated to be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 in Madurai. The programme will feature preliminary rounds in each city to identify the teams which will vie for top honours in the regional finals. The winners of each regional final will represent the respective region in the Grand Finale at Madurai. Students who are presently studying in classes X to XII are eligible to enter in the event. The first edition of THE HINDU Young World Quiz event for schools was offered as a gift to the large number of Young World readers on the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of THE HINDU Young World in 2000.
